Sunnfjord Museum is the regional museum in the Sunnfjord region. The museum is located in Movika, 9 km east of Førde center. The museum has an open air museum showing daily life for a farmer family and a tenant family in 1850. In the main building you will also find interesting and informative exhibitions.
All the buildings have their origin on different farms in the Sunnfjord region and show a variety of building traditions from 1500 until 1900.
The museum area was originaly a tenant farm, and the old tenant houses are today a part of the museum.
The museum has beautiful and quiet surroundings, located by the lake Movatnet.
